Twisters inside and out

Monday night proved to be an adventure for the girls and I. A tornado warning with the path heading toward Hiram had us huddled in the basement when the girls should’ve been getting ready for bed. Luckily, we didn’t recreate the Wizard of Oz that night, but going outside after the storm we could see circulation in the clouds further to the east. Too close for comfort.

The storms kept coming that evening and (with no curtains on the windows) the girls couldn’t fall asleep with the lightning flashing so frequently. My plans for invitation creation fell by the wayside as my Mom duties took priority. My excuse for last night? Finally had the chance to get the furniture in the living room positioned in a way that looks and feels good. (took several arrangements and a few pieces being pulled out of the room altogether – I was a tornado in the house last night) Honestly, the peace that comes from having one less chaotic room is worth falling a day behind wedding planning schedule.
