It’s the little things that mean a lot…

One bow.

One bow tied around an invitation to fancy it up a bit.

One large bow was the difference between 64 cents and $1.70 for each invite to be sent.

One bow.

One tiny bow was the difference between 44 cents and 64 cents.

One pile of large bow ribbon now sits in my home. Unused, because honestly who can justify nearly three times the postage for a bow?

One group of invites sent with tiny bows. Done in spite of extra 20 cents in postage; done with disregard of the books of 44 cent stamps purchased.

Why did I decide to do it? Was it for the beauty of the pink ribbon? The way it framed the invite? The look it gave to the whole invitation?

Nope. None of the above.

One group of invites with tiny bows sent because I had no idea that one tiny bow would mean so much when I sealed the envelopes.

One bow.

(they did look pretty, I’ll give you that)
