I had a dream last night that we lived in a beautiful castle.
It had a drawbridge over a moat.
It had battlements for the knights to keep watch.
It had a stable for the mules and a garden (hopefully NOT for the mules). It had a blacksmith shop, too.
It was a well fortified home for three fair Princesses and one Prince. They needed it to be secure, too.
Because you never know when a giant duck might come along.
Run for your lives!
Oh, wait…it is just Madeline’s castle we built for school…The first school project of the year done. Now this princess really DOES need her beauty sleep.
Beautiful!
Maddie, Great job on the castle! And great blog Janice! Love your writing style and keeping up with life on the farm! Hi Zoe!
Thanks, Sue and Laura! I’ll pass along your praise to the Master Castle Craftswoman of the family.
Nice castle! I especially like the colorizing of the “stone”.
Thanks, Jenny! We stumbled on a great sale on the faux stone spraypaint when we ran out of the little bottle of acrylic paint. It was the best $2.50 we spent and covered up the printing on the boxes much better than the regular paint.
