And life would never be the same again

Eight years.

It has been eight years, but there are times when it seems like yesterday.

Eight years ago, Zoe came into this world and life for all of us changed dramatically.

She charmed us with her smile, her loving and caring ways. It seemed like as soon as she could walk and talk, she and Maddie were more than just sisters – they were great friends.

Zoe has always had a spark about her that lets her make friends easily. People are drawn to her because they can feel her loving heart.

I have enjoyed watching her grow over the years and imagine what she may become as an adult.

A spy perhaps? Top flight secret agent with many disguises to fool the enemy?

Secret agent girl

Or would she trade the spy glasses in for scientific goggles? Will she discover the cure for Celiac or create a pill that would allow kids like her to eat regular breads, pizza, and goldfish crackers again?

Will she be a top athlete? A soccer start that will be a worthy role model for the next generation?

Or will she be a naturalist, spending her time focused on getting the world to recognize the importance of recycling and environmental issues (as well as showing off her love of orange drinks)?

Will she grow up to be a princess and live in a castle, guiding her kingdom with grace and love?

Or will she be a comedian and brighten the world through laughter?

I don’t know where life will take sweet Zoe, but I do know one thing for sure – I don’t want to miss a single moment.

Happy birthday, Zoe.  May you feel the warmth of the sun and our love in your life and always see the great opportunities available to you.
