Happy blogday? Blog-iversary?

It’s officially been a year since the plights and perils of city girls living in a country life have been documents.

Time to blog-ebrate!

It started out just as a means of communicating with family and friends about the wedding that turned a single, city girl Mom into a mule-watching lunatic.

It turned into posts about things like work clothes clogging up washers with dirt.

Over the year the City Girls brought style to things like camping and fishing.

We’ve gone adventures where we made new friends…

National Aviary Lorries

And the times where we saved the world (OK, not really the world. But we did keep one another from drowning in the massive downpour that happened that day, which seemed like a big deal at the time).

In fact, we weathered many storms life sent our way this past year…

papers strung up to dry

including the few we brought on ourselves.

Mr. Riley sure is all business...

We kept a cool head through most of it – sometimes with a little help from family and friends (and wine).

Overall, we’re getting used to life on the farm. The perks – cute Country Boy looking manly on his steed (if a mule can be a steed…).

And the downsides – my wardrobe isn’t as chic anymore.

But life is good. We can’t complain.

It has been a great year, and we’re so glad to have you along for the ride.

The Country Boy and the City Girls

About CountryBoyCityGirl

A city girl who fell in love with a country boy. Found bliss, along with large piles of mule droppings for her and two little girls to now try to avoid.
